The short answer
Specify switches and floor boxes as complete assemblies, with approved ratings, dimensions, module arrangements and finish references. Ethiopian project buyers should ask the UAE quotation to identify every included component. A faceplate or box price may not include the mechanisms and accessories needed for the final installation.

Break a complete point into purchase lines
Ask the project team to define what belongs at each electrical or data point. Use a point reference and list the required assembly beneath it. If a supplier quotes a kit, request its contents. If the offer is component-based, reconcile quantities back to the number of complete points. This is especially useful where a floor box combines several types of modules and the visible cover is only one part of the purchase.
Check dimensions and finish together
For replacements, provide the existing system reference and measurements confirmed by the installer. For new work, supply the approved installation details. Keep finish requirements specific, particularly where switches and other fittings are grouped on the same wall. A supplier's finish name may not be identical to a project's sample description. Record the approved reference so later additions can be checked against the original selection.
Review the quotation before multiplying quantities
Check one complete point before scaling the order to an entire building. Confirm that the offered combination meets the approved requirements and includes the expected parts. List spare components separately if the facilities team wants them. Include the Ethiopian destination and required timing in the enquiry, then agree packing identification and delivery scope. This keeps a small omission from being repeated across a large project order.
