For a Dubai office move, audit reusable equipment before buying new computers, laptops, docks and networking devices. Build a seat-by-seat requirement and a separate shared-equipment list. Your IT team should approve compatibility and the network design; the supplier quotation should identify exact models, accessories and delivery scope.

Audit before replacing
A relocation can expose missing accessories rather than a need to replace every device. List each reusable computer, monitor, keyboard and dock, then mark its condition and the person responsible for checking it. Keep data migration and secure disposal with your IT team. The purchasing list should contain the resulting equipment gaps, not confidential files or account credentials. For a Dubai office expanding from one suite to another, distinguish replacement purchases from equipment for genuinely new seats.
Specify the whole workstation
A laptop model does not define a complete desk setup. Record the approved memory and storage configuration, operating system, keyboard preference, display requirements and dock compatibility. Include the required adapters and cables as separate lines. For example, a two-monitor desk enquiry should identify the monitors and the IT-approved connection arrangement rather than simply requesting a laptop with two screens. Have the IT reviewer approve any proposed alternative before procurement accepts it.
Treat connectivity as its own purchase package
Buying a router by advertised speed alone does not establish whether the office network will meet its needs. Ask the IT provider to identify the approved devices, required licences, mounting accessories and cable schedule. Record what is being reused and what the new location requires. Coordinate delivery with the move
Give the supplier the Dubai building, floor, receiving contact and any booking requirements provided by building management. Before the move, reconcile the accepted quotation against the seat schedule. On receipt, record model and quantity differences before the IT team begins its deployment work.
